Ms. Atkinson joined Harry Jernigan CPA Attorney, P.C. in May 2007.  She received her B. A. from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and her Juris Doctor degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.  She was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in October 1999 and has been practicing in the Hampton Roads area since 2000.  Ms. Atkinson focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and planning and transactions for closely held businesses.  Ms. Atkinson also actively participates in the firm’s tax and bankruptcy practice areas and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
